Return Policy

Returned Goods Policy (Direct Customers):

All requests for credit must be authorized by a Customer Response Center representative. Eligible merchandise will be credited at 100% of the current list or contract price.

The following categories of merchandise ARE eligible for credit to our direct customers:

• Credit will be issued for merchandise (2-8°C excluded) ordered in error if the company is notified within 10 days of receipt.
• Credit will be issued for 2-8°C merchandise ordered in error provided compliance with the following criteria:
  • company notification within 10 days of receipt
  • the shipping containers have not been opened
  • there is verifiable evidence that confirms that the shipment, since leaving the control of the Janssen-Ortho Distribution Center, has been maintained between 2-8°C.
• Credit will be issued for goods returned within 12 months after expiry.
• Partial containers of discontinued or outdated product will be credited to the nearest quarter according to 25%, 50% or 75% of allowable credit. Quantities less than 25% are not eligible for credit.
• Discontinued Products, returned within one year of the expiration date will be credited.

The following categories of merchandise ARE NOT eligible for credit:

• Products which have not expired, unless sold by Janssen-Ortho Inc. under special guaranteed sales conditions.
• Products which have become unsaleable for reasons beyond our control, such as those damaged by water, fire or smoke.
• Products which have not been ordered in the normal course of acquiring inventory, e.g. fire, flood, bankruptcy, pharmacy inventory sales.

Prepaid Shipments:

All shipments are made on a prepaid freight basis.

Terms

Terms are from the date of invoice. Janssen-Ortho Inc. reserves the right to hold orders for customers with past due balances.

Narcotic and Controlled Drugs:

• The original order with an authorized signature for all Narcotic and Controlled drugs must be addressed to Janssen-Ortho Inc., 200 Whitehall Drive, Markham, Ontario, L3R 0T5. This document must be received prior to shipment. Telephone or fax orders will not be accepted.
• All returns require written authorization from a Janssen-Ortho Inc. Response Centre Representative 1-800-567-5667.
• Credit will be issued for merchandise destroyed by the customer upon receipt of a Bureau of Dangerous Drugs Destruction Certificate only.
• Credits will not be issued for partial containers of Narcotic or Controlled Drugs.
