Inventing the Reverse Logistics Industry in 1979, Processors Unlimited
brought accountability to unsaleable products in the grocery
industry. By constantly refining and improving Reverse Logistics
methods Processors Unlimited were able to expand beyond the
grocery industry. Over the years Processors Unlimited became the
Leader in Reverse Logistics, operating over 30 centres throughout
North America and processing half a billion products annually. In 1993
Processors Unlimited made its presence felt in Canada by starting
Return Technologies Inc. (RTI). With its roots in the pharmaceutical
industry RTI has become the leading, most widely recognized and
respected third party Reverse Distribution Company in Canada. In 1999
USFreightways, a multi billion-dollar company providing comprehensive supply
chain management services purchased Processors Unlimited. As a result
Processors Unlimited, Reverse Distribution Services (RTI's U.S. sister
company) and RTI are collectively known as USF Processors. In Canada,
RTI is now officially known as USF Processors Canada Inc. However, "RTI"
has now become a household word in the Reverse Distribution Industry with
strong brand loyalty.
